Rimic Civil have recently acquired a purpose built vertical digging excavator with a telescopic boom and clamshell bucket, designed to suit deep excavation works.

The machine is capable of digging in vertical shafts over 20m deep, and can operate in confined conditions, recently excavating a 2.7m internal diameter caisson, with capabilities of working in more confined shafts.

Other features of the machine are rubber tracks and a sliding cab that moves forward to enable the operator to look directly into a deep shaft

while controlling the machine.

This machine is used predominately on Rimic job sites, but is available for wet hire.
